Wade Stuart Waltman Obituary

Wade “Slick” Waltman, 41, of Baytown, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, in Houston.

Wade was born September 9, 1980, in Baytown, to parents; Leon and Linda Woodall Waltman, and a lifelong resident of Baytown. He was a graduate of Robert E. High School class of 1999 and Kansas State University in 2006, a safety manager by trade.  Wade enjoyed being involved in sports with his children, coaching softball, playing golf, and his bowling league. Wade was also instrumental in developing many girls in league and select girls’ softball.

Mr. Waltman was preceded in death by his grandparents and father: Leon Waltman. He is survived by his wife: Sandra Campos Waltman, children: Jack Waltman, Aubrie Waltman, Abbie Waltman, Hanna Egerton and boyfriend Caleb Parker, mother: Linda Woodall Waltman, sister: Brandi Greathouse and husband Wade, brother: Brett Waltman, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wade was the love of our life. We did everything together. We never left anyone out. Wade's love for his babies was immense. We loved hard and Wade instilled that love in our children. Life was never too serious for Wade. He was the calm, laid back one. He LOVED to cook for anyone and everyone and wouldn't let me in the kitchen. He always told me to just sit there and look pretty. Wade LOVED baseball, golf and bowling, food and cooking. Once he had his first babies and they became interested in sports, he quickly left his own hobbies to focus on teaching his children his love for the game. The kids immediately became engaged and loved it just as much as Wade did. Our life consisted of great food, music, his lifetime passion for baseball, softball and just loving his family hard. My soul mate, my rock, Wade and I had lost touch and met up again later in life and I'm so glad we did. Wade made all my dreams come true. Wade was everything I never knew I deserved. Wade made me his queen and his children his world. Nothing came before family. Wade was involved in and coached in the Baytown GFSA league and continued to select/competitive ball. He is loved and cared for in the baseball and softball community. He changed lives. He believed in so many players that needed that support. I could go on for hours on what Wade did for this community and beyond. The love we have felt has been tremendous. Wade was a beautiful man who put everyone before himself always.

Wade will forever rock out in heaven to O.A.R., Queen and the Beastie Boys.

Rest easy baby love, daddie, Slick.
