<p>Jerry Scott Chapman, 63, of Bostic, NC died Monday, June 20, 2022 at his home.&nbsp; Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Flay Mack Chapman and Betty Faye Blanton Chapman.&nbsp; Scott retired after many years working in textiles and later began a rug manufacturing business.&nbsp; He attended Sheperd&rsquo;s Chapel and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.&nbsp; Scott was also an accomplished brick and stone mason.&nbsp; To his family, he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include his wife Tammy Wasilewski Chapman of the home; a son, Gregory Scott Chapman of Bostic, NC; daughters, Amber Joy Powell of Caroleen, NC and Ariel Lynn Powell of South Carolina; a sister, Glenda Sandefur (Ricky) of Middlesex, NC; and twelve grandchildren.&nbsp; In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Chapman.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>No formal services are planned.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P O Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.&nbsp; The Padgett &amp; King Mortuary &amp; Crematory is serving the Chapman family.&nbsp; Online condolences may be made at www.padgettking.com.</p>

Obituary

Jerry Scott Chapman, 63, of Bostic, NC died Monday, June 20, 2022 at his home.  Born in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Flay Mack Chapman and Betty Faye Blanton Chapman.  Scott retired after many years working in textiles and later began a rug manufacturing business.  He attended Sheperd’s Chapel and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.  Scott was also an accomplished brick and stone mason.  To his family, he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

 

Survivors include his wife Tammy Wasilewski Chapman of the home; a son, Gregory Scott Chapman of Bostic, NC; daughters, Amber Joy Powell of Caroleen, NC and Ariel Lynn Powell of South Carolina; a sister, Glenda Sandefur (Ricky) of Middlesex, NC; and twelve grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Chapman.
