Mary Elizabeth Smith

Mary Elizabeth Smith age 84, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23rd at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Hutcheson officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Wayne, North Carolina on August 3, 1937, to the late John Glisson and Ethel Casey Glisson. She had made her home in Milledgeville since 1963. She was a Beautician and retired with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Smith and a son Willie Lee Smith, III. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors Include three daughter’s Sandra Melton Owens, Ethel Inez Quinn, and Vonnie S. Walker all of Milledgeville, two brothers Elbert Earl Glisson of Oklahoma City, OK and William Lewis Glisson of Goldsboro, NC, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home. Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
