Mary L. Carr, 91, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was born on May 25, 1931 to Marion and Lucy Boska Duzich in her lifelong hometown of San Pedro, Ca. She attended 15th St. School, Dana Jr. High, and Pedro High. In 1953, she married Samuel Carr. They were married for 61 years. Mary was a salesclerk/buyer for San Pedro Hardware and Gift Shop. During her more than 30 years, she registered hundreds of brides for their wedding gifts. She loved to vacation and be out and about socializing with friends and family. She liked cruises, casinos, bingo, attending UCLA football games, and a good margarita. She is preceded in death by her husband (Samuel) and brother (Angelo Duzich). She is survived by daughter Nikki Robles (Bobby), son, Sam; grandchildren, Lauren Tarbat (Nick), Adam, and Nicholas (Jim); great-grandson, William Samuel; and several nieces and nephews. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Hartman, Dr. Arafa, and nurses Albertine, Kathleen, Annette and Leslie. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 11:30 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
