Charmaine M. Gesink Sheldon, Iowa Charmaine Marie Gesink, age 68, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Monday, June13, 2022, at the Sanford Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa. Online condolences may be sent to www.vanderploegfunerals.com Charmaine Marie Gesink, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Beebe) Cummins was born on November 24, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. She grew up and attended the Denver School System. While living in Denver she worked for King Sooper in retail management. Charmaine was united in marriage to Arlan Wayne Gesink on June 19, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2001, they moved to Sheldon, Iowa and worked at the Village Northwest before her retirement. Arlan preceded her in death on May 13, 2021. Charmaine remained in her home until her passing on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 68 years, 6 months and 20 days. Charmaine is survived by her children, Dana Kester of Arvada, Colorado; Tyson (Tracey) Kester of Sheldon, Iowa; Katie (Daniel) Groen of Primghar, Iowa and Abby Gesink of Denver, Colorado; a grandson, Gavin Groen; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her husband, Arlan; and her parents.
