Chad Jones, age 50, of Edmore, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Chad was a guy who loved to work and network; but he was never too busy to spend time with his family, try new experiences, or share his opinion with people. He was an avid racing fan, especially dirt track racing. He liked watching Michigan State football and basketball, and Chad loved going fishing with his son, Carter. He treasured spending time with his grandchildren and was super excited to meet his soon to be born grandson later this summer. Chad will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Surviving Chad is his wife, Lori Jones of Edmore; parents, Danny & Sherry Jones of Sheridan; children, Carter & Abby Jones of Sheridan, Cody Oberlin & Kendall Roberts of Grand Rapids, Lauren & John Surmann of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Rocky Fraser of Edmore, and Ry Fraser of Edmore; grandchildren, Guliana, Aurora, and one soon to be born grandson; brothers, Scott & Bobbie Hart of Traverse City and Sean & Victoria Hart of Belding; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

Chad was preceded in death by his mom, Karen Hart-Pringle; grandson, Jaxon; grandpa and grandma, John & Dorothy Jones, and grandpa and grandma Don & Joyce Martin.

A celebration of Chad’s life is being held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.) from 5 to 8 PM, where you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.
