Dear family friend of Sharon (Jeremy) Donaghue., daughter of the late James and Mary (Nee Masterson) Grimes. Passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Funeral Mass, St. Christopher Church, 20141 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, Wednesday, June 15 th at 11 AM.  Interment Private. Friends may call at the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 Center Ridge Rd., (West of Columbia Rd.)  TUESDAY from 4-7 PM.  Family suggests memorial contributions to the WooWho Foundation http://www.woowhofoundation.com/about.html Born to immigrant parents, Mary Jane Grimes grew up on Bernard Avenue in Cleveland, she was the cherished baby sister to her three brothers Mickey, Franny and Larry. She attended Lourdes Academy and graduated in 1962. After graduation she started working for Cuyahoga County in the probate court. Then, one Saturday evening, at a party she met the love of her life, Dave Gould. The tall handsome Dave was immediately enamored by the beautiful blonde girl with the stunning blue eyes. They became an item and one evening before attending Mass together, Dave surprised Jane and proposed. On October 29, 1966, they married at St. Ignatius Church in Cleveland, Ohio and they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Walter David Gould.   They settled into a little house on W. 131 st Street and started a family of their own. First, was David followed by Shannon. After some time, they decided to move and became residents of the home they would share for the entirety of their marriage on Morewood Pkwy. In Rocky River. This is where they welcomed two more children, Katie and finally Beth.  With her family complete, Jane started an in-home daycare. Now, managing four children, a husband, and a small business would be enough for the average Jane Doe; but this was Jane Gould and when her father needed full time care Jane did not give a second thought to bringing him home so she could care for him and did so until his passing. Once all the kids were in school, Jane took a job as a custodian with Cuyahoga County Central Services, where she would go on to be a well-known luminary in the Justice Center. Known as Mary, she was notable for her bright smile and sweet altruistic nature. After 28 years the hardworking and tenacious “the little blonde lady” as she was often affectionately referred to retired.    Spending time with her eight grandchildren; Mariah, Jimmy, Joey, Ella, Sophia, Cecelia, Oliver and Isla were Janie’s number one priority. Whether it was going to one of Joey’s basketball games, watching Jimmy play baseball, making sure Cece always got a kiss goodnight or snuggling up with Sophia for a bedtime story. Jane gave herself completely to her children and grandchildren. With her extra free time Jane was also always up for a road trip! Visiting with family in Michigan, sight-seeing in Chicago and finally fulfilling her long standing wish of seeing New York City in November 2021.    Family was always the most important thing to Jane and was not just limited to her own relatives. Everyone was like family and therefore Jane remembered everyone’s birthday and anniversary, made sure everyone felt special during the holidays either with a box of Malley’s chocolate covered pretzels or a tray of her famous sausage bread. Regularly checking in on co-workers and friends, making sure their families were doing okay. If you were ever in need of anything big or small; Jane was the first person to be there. Her friends remember that she only had one mood and that was happiness. Her cheerful disposition, radiant smile and infectious laugh was magnetic. She lit up any room she entered, and she shared her light with everyone.    While peacefully sleeping on June 7th, 2022, Jane passed away. Although she is gone her light is still here, in the hearts of every single person who was lucky enough to know her.
