Perry C. Price
<p>Perry C. Price, 72, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, the former Susan Chiles.</p><p><br></p><p>Born December 28, 1949 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Alma Cooley Price.</p><p><br></p><p>Perry was a 1969 graduate of Mountain View High School and prior to his illness, he had been employed as a public safety officer most recently at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Scranton. Perry was a member of the Clifford Baptist Church, Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Pennsylvania Fire Police Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson and working in his garden. Perry will be remembered for his love of music and being a gifted violin maker.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by one son: Beatty J. Price and wife, April of Clifford, PA; one grandson: Johnathan O. Price, who was his pride and joy; one brother: Philip P. Price and wife, Jan of Clifford, PA; two nieces; and several nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>He was also preceded in death by a brother: Owen Price.</p><p><br></p><p>The funeral was held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. from the Clifford Baptist Church, 519 Church Street, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Bonnie Resseguie, pastor, officiating. </p><p><br></p><p>Viewing hours were held Friday, June 10, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family appreciated monetary donations to assist with funeral expenses.
