David Allen Bitterman Obituary

Age 58 of Chesaning passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Monday, August 28 from 3:00 to 8:00pm with a Knights of Columbus Rosary prayed at 7:00pm, and also at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the service. David was born on August 27, 1958 to Bernard G. and Patricia A. (Lynch) Bitterman in Owosso. He graduated from Chesaning Union High School. David worked as a construction worker for Fessler and Bowman for many years, and he also worked for Farmer Peet's for 10 years. During his life, David was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and friends, he enjoyed being outdoors, and he was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, NASCAR, and Lions football. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. David is survived by his daughters, Madeline and Samantha Bitterman; his son, Brad Bitterman; his mother, Patricia Bitterman; his siblings, Kathleen Zervan, Christine Bitterman, Noreen Ruthig, Tim (Sharee) Bitterman, Nancy Laman (Ron Baker), and Daniel Bitterman; and his wife of 10 years and mother of his daughters, Betsy (Gross) Bitterman. He is predeceased by his father, Bernard Bitterman. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Knights of Columbus or to St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove.
