Joseph Patrick Martin, 81, of St. Petersburg passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2022. He leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his boundless wit, enduring sense of humor, and love for tennis and travel. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 year, Joan Martin (2008); and is survived by his loving partner of thirteen years, Joan Davis, his five children, Joseph Martin, Jr. (Rachel), Kelly Martin (Craig), Patrick Martin (Elizabeth), Jude Martin (Tonya), and Christin Martin, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Joe graduated from Georgetown University in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and served in the Air Force Reserves for five years before embarking on a wide-ranging, 40-year career adventure starting in the construction industry with George C. Martin, Inc. and ending in the real estate industry in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Joe most recently was enjoying an active retirement travelling the world with Joan and playing tennis with friends. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort knowing he was doing what he loved at the time. May each tear and each fond memory be a note of love rising to meet you, Precious.
