Her Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Brian Dunn ~ officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa. Arrangements are under the care of the Andringa Funeral Home; Sheldon, Iowa Nellie Joan Kleinwolterink, the daughter of Leonard and Sadie (Wiersma) Vanden Bosch was born on December 26, 1932 in Edgerton, MN. Nell attended Sheldon Christian Grade School and Western Christian High School. She was united in marriage to Alvin Nieuwendorp on September 23, 1951. The couple made their home on a farm just north of Sheldon. Nell enjoyed gardening, flowers, music, and crocheting. Nell was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon where she was involved in Bible studies, care ministries and volunteering at the Treasure Chest. On August 21, 1994, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin. Then on November 4, 1995, she married Jack Kleinwolterink in Sheldon, IA. They enjoyed wintering in Texas, where Nell made quilts, embroidered pillowcases, made Afghans, and knitted dishcloths to donate to various charities. They moved to the Christian Retirement Home enjoying many good years there. Nell enjoyed reading, playing games, playing piano, exercising and spending time with her family. On April 12, 2017, Nell was preceded in death by her husband Jack Kleinwolterink. She moved to Field Crest in November of 2021. After a battle with pneumonia, she passed away at Sanford Senior Care Facility on June 2, 2022. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Verla (Ernie) Bakker of Bellevue, WA, her sons, Kent (Patty) Nieuwendorp of Sheldon, IA; Greg Nieuwendorp of Sheldon, IA; Jeff (Cindy) Nieuwendorp of Sioux Falls, SD; her daughter, Sandi (Dave) Struyk of Grand Rapids, MI. She also had 5 step children, Marsha (Larry) Sterk of Sheldon, IA; Cheryl (Mark) Madsen of Hull, IA; Brian (Kathy) Kleinwolterink of Hull, IA; John (Lisa) Kleinwolterink of Morris, MN and Keith (Kristen) Kleinwolterink of Sheldon, IA. Nell had 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step great, great grandchild. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Alvin; second husband, Jack and sisters, Fran Fikse and Audrey Bakker.
