Shelia Denise Woods-Abrams

Ms. Shelia Denise Woods-Abrams, 61, passed on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her residence. Born December 30, 1960 in Rowan County, she was the daughter Kay Frances Sherman Woods and the late David Lee Woods. Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, she was a graduate of Salisbury High School, Class of 1979 and received her medical office assistant certification from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Ms. Abrams was last employed with W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center as a medical support assistant. A member of First Calvary Baptist Church, she served as a Deaconess, on the Usher Board, and Praise Dance Team. She was also a member of the Dixonville Reunion Committee and a veteran of the United States Army. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, DiMario Abrams of Charlotte, Jillian Sturdivant (Dennis, Jr.) of Mocksville, Lisa Abrams of Salisbury, and Tamilia Abrams of Charlotte; 5 grandchildren; mother, Kay Frances Sherman Woods of Salisbury; siblings, ChaKeta Banks and David Lee Banks both of Kannapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
