Lyndle Edward Ellis Obituary

Lyndle Edward Ellis, 73, passed away June 1, 2022 at Blessing hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Lyndle was born on August 13, 1948 in Pittsfield, Illinois, to Della Leona Sarver and Carl Edward Ellis. Lyndle loved hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, raising pigs and cattle, and being with his family. Lyndle loved spending his time with his dog, Mittzy. Lyndle was an excellent businessman and entrepreneur. He was a man of many businesses. Lyndle worked in the grocery store “Ellis Superbuy” in Griggsville, Illinois, with his parents Carl and Leona. He later ran the store on his own. He then ran the restaurant “The Gallery” in Griggsville, Illinois. Carl had shown Lyndle how to become a landlord during this time. He was a landlord to over 40 rental properties. Lyndle and Kim started a floral business out of their garage, which later turned into “Kimmie’s Creations”. Lyndle brought the idea to life and helped keep the business running. This business thrived for over 12 years. He went into the monument business with “ Peoria monument company” and to no surprise, this business thrived too. Lyndle married Kimberly (Kim) Corina Kemper on June 6, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. When these two were together, it was magic. Lyndle was quite the jokester and knew how to make Kim and everyone else laugh. In his younger years, you could see these two going to the local bars and dancing. In Lyndle’s later years, they loved watching tv together in their recliners. They were blessed with two children; Kristin Killebrew and Lynley Ellis. In his later years, Lyndle’s hobbies included spending time with his three grandchildren; Konner Killebrew, Kolten Killebrew, and Olivia Hall. Lyndle enjoyed drinking Diet Pepsi and Kesslers while watching westerns, specifically gunsmoke, while playing with Mittzy. Lyndle was still running the rental business at his time of death. Lyndle is survived by his wife, Kim, his daughters; Kristin (Keenan) Killebrew and Lynley Ellis (Griffin Hall), three grandchildren; Konner, Kolten, and Olivia and many friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Leona, and his sister Almerta. Lyndle will be remembered for the way he could make people laugh, his stubborn personality, and his brilliant ways to make money. He once described himself as a simple man who didn’t need much in life. He always said “if I died today, I died happy”. Lyndle will truly be missed by all. He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday June 9, 2022 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Chapel in Griggsville. Burial Will be in Griigsville Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 until 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Memorials can be made to Griggsville Cemetery
