Robert Lewis Forthun

Robert “Bob” Forthun, a lifelong resident of Everson, died peacefully in his sleep on June 1, 2022, at the age of 83. He is survived by a sister Eleanor Simonson of Everson, and many cousins and friends. He was born in Sumas Washington to Edgar in Florence Forthun. Bob attended Nooksack Valley and Western Washington University. He served in the Korean War. He co-owned Bob and Cindy‘s Trophy Shop, was Washington representative for National Youth Bowling, worked at Lynden Skateway, and volunteered for Everson Lions, the Food Bank, and Valley Church. Arrangements are through Gillies Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 10th at 1 PM at Valley Church in Nooksack. All are welcome.
