Mr. Jeffery Scott Ragan, age 69, of Griffin went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Scott never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was the type of man who would do anything for anyone. Scott was a hardworking provider and a good friend. He was a family man and he loved his girls.

Mr. Ragan was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 22, 1952 to Mr. and Mrs. Mack A Ragan. He graduated from Griffin High School in 1970 and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for four years, mainly in Germany. Upon returning home to Griffin, he worked in construction until beginning his 35 year career at Coca-Cola Enterprises. He retired early to care for his beloved wife, Janet, who battled Multiple System Atrophy for many years.

Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Bowles Ragan and his parents, Mack and Elsie “Kelley” Ragan.

Survivors include his daughters, Lindsey Ragan and Callie Ragan Bloodworth and her husband, Caleb. Brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Dee Ragan; nephew, David Ragan and his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Jada, of Macclenney, Florida. Mother-in-law, Annelle Bowles (“The Mom”) and sister-in-law, Nancy Bowles Gresham (“The Nan”).

Visitation for Mr. Ragan will be on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, with the memorial service immediately following. Pastor Jack Pickel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Scott.
