MADISON – Frances Dennis Murphy, 69, passed away early Monday morning, May 23, 2022, at Gibson House in Reidsville. There will be no formal service at this time. Frances was born December 30, 1952 in Nassau County, New York. She was the daughter of the late William Dennis, Sr. and Idella Stephens Dennis. Frances was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in New York and later received her Master of Science Degree in Human Services from Purdue University Global. She loved the nursing profession and her last job was with the Rockingham County School System, working as a school nurse. Frances was also a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her 11 children, Sean Booker, Donell Booker, Travis Dennis, Madail Dennnis, Tiffany Young, Akeem Dennis, Shanell Dennis, Romeo Dennis, Chip Murphy, Stacey Murphy and Crystal Dennis; numerous grandchildren; along with her four brothers, Bernard Dennis, Derrick Dennis, Stanley Dennis and Billy Dennis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. Murphy. Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
