Kenneth Eugene Cross

Kenneth Eugene Cross, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was born on January 18, 1930 the son of John and Emma (Breese) Cross. Kenneth is survived by five daughters, Laura (Thomas) Stilson of Lowell, MI, Vicky (Steven) Wilson of Huachuca City, AZ, Marsha (Robert) Mitchell of Franklin, KY, Cheryl (Jeffrey) Jones of Horton, MI and Kimberly Cross of Grass Lake, MI; a special granddaughter, Rachel Grinnell of Grass Lake, MI and 12 additional grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents; his loving wife, Norma whom he married on August 11, 1951; and eight siblings. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather who truly enjoyed taking care of his family. He was also a supporter of all his siblings to their final destination. He was a hard worker who enjoyed farming and loved caring for animals. He worked as a custodian for Spring Arbor Schools and later worked as a bus driver and custodian for Grass Lake Schools where he retired from. Kenneth also spent some time in Florida where he enjoyed laying carpet with his good friend, Harold. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Kenneth Eugene Cross, will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, on Friday, May 27, 2022 beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Trevor Workman officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, on Thursday, May 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
