Memorial services for Charlotte Black, 86 of Athens formerly of Greenville has been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday Dec. 19, 2015 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Mrs. Black passed away Dec. 12, 2015 in Athens. She was born May 8, 1929 in Henderson County to the late Roy Howard and Alma Louise Willis Henson. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and had worked many years in Athens at Wolf and Duphorne Hospital. She was a member of Baxter Baptist Church. Charlotte loved cooking, reading, doing needlework and collecting cookbooks. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Black in 1990, son; Byron Van Black in 2007 and sister Del Reierson in 2014. Survivors include daughter-in-law; Laurie Blair, Terrell, grandsons; Andre Black, J.P. Black and Clay Black all of Terrell, niece Mandy Mugavero and husband Mike, Athens, great-niece, JenniferWillingham, Lewisville, great nephew; Tony Mugavero, New York City. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Baxter Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2519 Athens, Texas 75751.
