Donald “Don” Wayne Damm, 65, of Greenview, IL, died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 12, 1957, in Carrollton, IL, the son of James and Frances (Bell) Damm. Don married Jeri Denise Hudspeth on October 1, 1990, in Greenview. Don worked as a truck driver in the transportation industry. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting, but most of all, spending time with his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father, James Damm; and brother, J.R. Damm. Don is survived by his wife, Jeri “Denise” Damm of Greenview; mother, Frances Damm of Greenview; step-sons, Craig (Megan) and Joshua Beiermann, both of Athens; son, Donald Damm Jr. of Mason City; grandchildren, Adalynn, Kaisley and Bailee Beiermann, and Logan and Riley Damm; brothers, Randall (Brenda) Damm of Petersburg and Mike (Sue) Damm of Mason City; sister, Norma Benjamin of Oakford; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Greenview CIA Building, 114 E. Engle St., Greenview, IL 62642.
