Quinton Lee Weaver

Quinton Lee Weaver, Jr., 77, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with his loving wife Sarah and sister Dawna West by his side. Quinton was born on October 8, 1944 in Weston, son of the late Quinton L. Weaver, Sr. and Eileen (Butcher) Weaver. Quinton was united in marriage on August 7, 1966 to Sarah Daisy (Strader) Weaver of Weston, who survives.<br><br>Quinton will be forever be remembered by his wife Sarah and sister Dawna Lee West of Weirton, WV. In addition to his parents, Quinton was preceded in death by daughter Sonya Lee Weaver.<br><br>Quinton attended Weston High School then joined the Army in 1962. He became a medic and paratrooper stationed in Germany. Quinton attended Fairmont State College and received his degree in Education. He taught school for five years in St. Mary’s New South Wale, Australia. While there he started racing cars, mini cooper’s (in club events) and clubman cars in open racing. When the family returned to the states they settled in Texas City, Texas where he taught welding and computer skills for twenty-five years. His hobbies there were sailing boats, fishing, and jumping out of airplanes. He was a photographer for the jump teams racking up thousands of jumps. In 2001 he retired and moved back to Weston to the home place. He bought a backhoe, bulldozer, and sawmill and started cutting down trees to build the timber frame home. It was a labor of love for the whole family. He loved camping, barbecuing, white water rafting, family reunions at Moorefield, playing set back and much more. <br><br>Quinton came to know the Lord in June of 2021 after Sonya passed away. He was baptized at Stonecoal Lake in August 2021. <br><br>Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue of Weston on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 5PM-7PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11AM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randall Hughes officiating. Interment will follow services at Butcher Cemetery in Turnertown, WV with military honors being presented by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sonya's Shopping Cart Ministry 280 Minerva Avenue Weston, WV 26452.
