Richard M Harrington

Richard M Harrington of New Boston NH passed away peacefully following a brief Illness on May 15 2022. He was born on May 7 1945 in Peterborough NH to Walter and Natalienne (Blake) Harrington of Hancock NH . Richard grew up in Hancock and held the spot of his family home close to his heart. He was drafted into the army in 1965 where he served in the Vietnam war until 1967. Richard married his wife Christine Bauer in 1979 and worked as Head Groundskeeper for the Conval school district for twenty-seven years until he retired in 2007. Richard loved being outside and found joy as an avid gardener and outdoorsman. He had an unmatched sense of humor and a gift of recounting unique anecdotes and stories . Richard was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. His family meant the world to him. Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years Christine Harrington, their Children Sara (Harrington) Thompson and her husband Mathew Thompson of Wilton NH. Daughter Jennifer Harrington of New Boston NH, his son from a previous marriage, Richard M Harrington Jr and his wife Amy (Hanan) Harrington of Rindge NH. Grandchildren Jordan, Madison, Conor, Gavyn, Colton, Jackson and Jayce and many loving cousins , nieces and nephews. Predeceased in death by his parents Natalienne and Walter, his brother Gerald Harrington and sister Martha Wilder. Calling hours will be held Friday May 20,2022 from 5-7pm at French and Rising Funeral Home 17 S. Mast Street Goffstown, NH 03045.
