Barbara A. (Buckley) Agrella

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister;

Barbara A. (Buckley) Agrella, 93, a longtime resident of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 11, 1928, the daughter of the late John W. and the late Rose (Cunnion) Buckley, she attended the Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the Class of 1947.

Prior to her retirement, Barbara worked for the Raytheon Corporation in South Lowell for over 18 years.

A communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham, she was also a member of St. Patrick Parish Women’s Guild.

Barbara’s greatest joy was when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren. Among her many interests, she enjoyed faithfully attending church, crocheting, playing scrabble, and socializing with many friends at Bingo.

Barbara is survived by two daughters  Barbara (Updyke) Barrett and her husband John of Pelham, NH, and Kathleen Harrison and her husband Richard of Walworth, New York; two sons Joseph F. Agrella and his wife Karen of Dracut, MA, and Frank A. Agrella and his wife Ruth (Boucher) of Dracut, MA; six grandchildren, Adam Updyke of Lowell, MA, Shannon Agrella of Lawrence, MA, Kristen Marrero of Beverly, MA, Jennifer Harrison of Enfield, CT, Sean Updyke of Lowell, MA, and Maeghan Harrison of Walworth, NY; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Nolyn Updyke; her sister, Rose Grenier, of Dracut, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the former wife of the late Frank J. Agrella; the sister of the late Francis, William, George, Edward Buckley and Helen Toy. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Clinton Updyke. 

Friends may attend her Memorial Visitation at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD in PELHAM on Monday May 23, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated Tuesday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in PELHAM at 10 o’clock. (Please meet at church). Her Committal Service will be held later at St. Patrick Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. (Please meet at the cemetery). E-condolences/directions at www.pelhamfuneralhome.com.
