Flossie M. Minter

Mrs. Flossie M. Minter, 93, of Richmond, the widow of Victor C. Minter, passed away, Sunday morning, May 15, 2022. Mrs. Minter, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Bowles Minter, was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on December 10, 1928. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse-Phillips and a member of The Red House Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter: Barbara Harvey; five grandchildren: Tammy Walker (Kirk), Grant Rice (Nick), Todd Rice (Michele), Lee Harvey (Nikki) and Angie Harvey Sturgill (Phillip); sixteen great-grandchildren: Sarah Shaw (Adam), Corey Rice (Morgan), Kyle Rice (Arden), Becca Morrow (Miles), Brice Walker (Saranna), Olivia Rice, Tori Harvey, Cameron Chaney, Gabe Sturgill, Logan Sturgill, Courtlyn Sturgill, Graham Gunn, Gracie Gunn, Addi Gunn, Aiden Harvey and Katie Griffith as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Vicki Sue “Aunt Bic Bic” Rice, two sons-in-law: Dellus Rice and Mike Harvey and three sisters: Dorothy Cecil, Bessie Kramer and Ruby Poole. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Maynard, Rev. Dewayne Abrahamson and Rev. Rob Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Brice Walker, Matt Murphy, Graham Gunn, Kyle Rice, Brian Dalton and Larry Lewis. Ms. Flossie was such a sweet lady. She will be missed. Praying for her family.
