Passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the age of 92. Harold was born on October 9, 1929 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Harry and Elsie Locke Forrest.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth, sisters Eleanore Kent and Shirley Forrest. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years Martha L. Vanderhoef Forrest; children, Sharon (Timothy) Dodd, Kathie (Michael) Telehany, Henry (Michelle) Forrest, Harry (Amy) Forrest and Howard (Kim) Forrest; twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Forrest; brother, William (Roberta) Forrest and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Harold retired from Horseheads Central School Dist. after 41 years. He served his country honorably with the US Army. Faith was always important to Harold and he was a life-long member of the Pine Valley Baptist Church. He loved family gatherings, camping and watching his kids and grandkids compete in sports, especially wrestling. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Pine Valley Baptist Church, 4872 Pinecrest Rd, Millport, NY 14864 on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 10:30-12PM. His Funeral Services will follow at 12PM. Harold will be laid to rest at Millport Cemtery immediately following. Those wishing to remember Harold please consider donations in his memory to his church.
