Dennis M. Rott

Dennis M. Rott, age 58, of Wonewoc, WI, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at St. Dominic Villa in Hazel Green. He was born on November 3, 1963, in Hillsboro, WI, the son of Robert J. and Godelieve M. (Schyvinch) Rott. He was a 1982 graduate of Holy Name Seminary High School, and then attended two years at Loras College in Dubuque, IA. He returned to the family farm to help his father and brother, and enjoyed caring for and raising Herefords. He enjoyed working the land on the tractor. Dennis enjoyed sports and was an intense and avid Packer fan. He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle serving as Eucharistic Minister.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis is survived by his brothers and sister, Father Bernard Rott of Dickeyville, Leonard Rott of Platteville, Barbara (Denny) Meyer of Reedsburg, Chuck Rott of Wonewoc, Benedict (Kathy) Rott of Reedsburg; aunts Madeline Schyvinch, and LaVonne Schyvinch, both of Reedsburg; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in LaValle with Father Bernard Rott and Father Sanctus Ibe concelebrating. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. A rosary will be prayed at 3:30 P.M. There will also be visitation on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery, Ironton Township.
