Franklin D. Long
FRANKLIN LONG Franklin D. Long, 80, of Richmond and formerly of Henderson, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Kenwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. He was born on Sunday, May 18, 1941, in the Poosey Ridge Section of Madison County, Kentucky, the son of the late Dan and Annise Denny Long. Franklin was a retired tobacco and cattle farmer. He was preceded in death by his companion, Wanda Louise Brown; a brother, Mason Long; a sister, Barbara Long; and three infant children. Survivors include one son, Franklin Long, Jr. (Janey), of Henderson; two daughters, Debra Ratliff, of Richmond and Brenda Scott (Larry), of Berea; three brothers, Charles Long, Shirley Long, and Glyndon Long (Sheila); one sister, Frances Long Wagers; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 4 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Adrian McKinney officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Committal Services and burial will be at 1 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2022 CDT, in Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson, Kentucky.May 18, 1941 - May 14, 202205/18/194105/14/2022
