STRUM, Margaret Anne “Peggy” (nee Fogal)<br>October 1, 1933 - May 16, 2022<br>Peggy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving daughters, in her 89th year, while at the Algoma Manor. Loving wife of the late Ernest Strum. Beautiful and loving mother of Edward (Christa), Leonard “Shorty” (Janet), Garnet (Edna), Peggy McDonald (late Marshall), the late Ronald (Melissa), Carol Rickard (Philip), Mary Lou Belisle (Dan), Barbara (David) and Darrell (Julie). Gramma of 23, G-Ma of 32 and G-G-Ma of many. Sister of Gail Martin (Eugene), Brenda Smith (Ron) and John Fogal (late Joyce) and sister-in-law of Patricia Strum (late Merritt). Predeceased by parents Reg and Edna Fogal and sisters Elaine Conway (late Frank) and Audrey Luoma (Mel). <br>We will miss her reassuring advice, calm demeaner and steady strength.<br>The family wishes to thank the staff at Algoma Manor, especially staff on Peaceful Pine who became like family to her. They also want to thank Dr. Haapala and Dr. Barry for their years of care. <br>Family and friends are invited to visit at Beggs Funeral Home, 175 Main Street, Thessalon on Thursday, May 19 beginning at 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm. Burial at The Sands Cemetery to follow service. Pastors Carl and Barbara Moulton officiating. <br>If desired donation to the Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.ca or to the Diabetes Canada www.diabetes.ca or the Heart and Stroke Foundation www.heartandstroke.ca are appreciated by the family.<br>Arrangements entrusted to Beggs Funeral Home.
