Marian B. Loiselle Obituary

Marian Loiselle, 92, of Enfield, widow of Peter G. Loiselle (2012), entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 15, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Stafford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Beatrice (Rutherford) Lucas. A lifelong resident of the Enfield community, Marian was a graduate of Cushing Academy and later graduated from Goodwin College. Her career as a Nurse began at the former Wesson Memorial Hospital where she devoted 17 years to caring for patients. Later, she took nursing positions at several local nursing homes. Following, Marian was employed with Hamilton Standard Div. of UTC and retired in 1991.

She enjoyed trying her luck at Foxwoods Casino (her favorite) as well as spending time at the CT and RI beaches. She also enjoyed taking cruises.

She leaves six children, Nancy Markewicz of Southampton, MA, Judy Belini and her husband Bruce of Myrtle Beach, SC, Marty Loiselle and his wife Kim of East Longmeadow, Joanne Hayden and her husband Jim of Windsor Locks, Peter R. Loiselle and his wife Nancy of Somers, Rick Loiselle and Kelly Hedley of South Windsor, Grandchildren, Jennifer Lamond, Tony Belini, Dominique and Vanessa Loiselle, Jeremy, Jessica, and Rachel Hayden, Keith Loiselle, Melinda Loiselle, and Olivia Hedley. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Marian was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Ralph Lucas, a grandson, Craig Lamond, a sister, Janet "Betty" Slaydon, and a son-in-law, Bob Markewicz.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield.
