PHILICIONE - Louise Philicione (nee Petrillo) age 91, of Newark NJ passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Louise is predeceased by her beloved husband Dominick “Ziggy” and son Domenick “Donny.” Louise is survived by her daughter Edie “Sissie” and husband Peter Weedo, granddaughter Danielle Weedo-Pires and husband Antonio Pires, granddaughter Daria Weedo and great granddaughter Drea Marie Weedo-Pires. Louise was known for Sunday dinners and her infamous cream puffs that were loved by all. She cared deeply for her family (and many dogs throughout the years!) Affectionately known by her friends as “Lou-Lou Bell” or “Weezy,” her presence always filled the room with laughter and created everlasting memories. As a loving mother, doting grandmother (Me-Ma), and great grandmother, she was the gravity that pulled her extended family together, and always referred to as the “nucleus of our galaxy” by her husband. She was the matriarch of the family and devoted her life to it. Louise will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and resilience. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8pm and Thursday 9-10am. Mass is 10:30am Thursday at St. Lucy's Church, followed by interment in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
