Joe D. Yoder 96, of 2687 CR 114, Baltic, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 15, 2022 following a short illness. He was born on March 24, 1926 to the late Dan J. and Sarah (Miller) Yoder. On December 4, 1945 he married Susie M. Mast who preceded him in death on October 8, 2021. Joe was a retired farmer and also served the community as a casket builder/funeral director for many years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He is survived by his three sons and five daughters, Mary (Roy) Burkholder of Millersburg, Erma (Henry V.) Raber of Baltic, Jonas (Mabel) Yoder of Baltic, Verna (Amos) Yoder of Millersburg, Iva (Henry) Miller of Millersburg, Susie (Wayne) Burkholder of the home, Roy (Susie) Yoder of Millersburg, Eli (Erma) Yoder of Baltic; son-in-law, Wayne (Lizzie) Miller of Fresno; 86 grandchildren; 381 great-grandchildren; 51 great great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; brothers, Eli (late Emma) Yoder of Michigan and Jonas (Ella) Yoder of Baltic. In addition to his parents and his wife Susie, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Miller; grandson, Atlee Yoder; three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Susie (Reuben) Erb and Anna (Noah) Yoder; and a sister-in-law, Emma Yoder. Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday, May 18, at 9:00 AM with Bishop Jerry Erb officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkholder Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 PM on Monday and any time on Tuesday. A special thank you on behalf of the family to Community Hospice for their care and support.
