Josephine Konn Stratford, Connecticut Obituary

Josephine Konn

Josephine Konn (Piazza), 79, of Stratford, CT, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital with her daughter by her side. Josephine had a lifelong battle with Multiple Sclerosis, which she courageously fought since being diagnosed at only 28 years old. She never let her disease stop her from being a dedicated wife and stay at home mother as well as an active volunteer at Holy Name of Jesus. Josephine always had a smile on her face and kind words for everyone. She looked forward to making her sauce and pasta every Sunday, and was especially proud of her lasagna and cheesecake, which she made every Christmas. She enjoyed singing, especially songs from the 50’s and 60’s, dancing, trips to the casino wearing her “lucky” gold top, and traveling with her husband, daughter and granddaughters. In her final years she was cared for at home by her dedicated caregiver, Beatrice Marrero. Josephine was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Piazza; her nephew Mathew Piazza; and sister-in-law Patty Piazza. She is survived by her husband, Vince, her daughter Shari, her two granddaughters, Grace and Olivia, her brother, Joseph Piazza, goddaughter Gina Piazza, cousin Angela Kishbaugh (Alan), brother-in-law Raymond Konn, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be forever loved and remembered. No services will take place, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the National MS Society (nationalmssociety.org). To express condolences online visit www.pisteyfuneralhome.com.
