Visitation: Monday, May 16, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 1pm-1:45pm at Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Services: 2pm Tuesday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Annie Ruth Jordan, age 89, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Her visitation will be held 5-8pm Monday, May 16, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 1-1:45pm at Cross Roads Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Jordan was born February 14, 1933 in Simpson County.  She loved to travel, watch westerns on tv and watch National Geographic shows.  Annie Ruth was a big New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed cheering them on.  She loved the Lord, reading her Bible and studying the Bible.  Annie Ruth loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lenard W. Jordan; parents, Ernest J. Barron and Maude Bennett Barron; sister, Beneva Barron Blaylock Dreding; step granddaughter, Terri Goodson; brothers-in-law, Charles Blaylock and Robert “Bob” Dreding; niece, Stacy Blaylock Davidson and daughter-in-law, Marguerite Jordan.

She is survived by her children, Earl Jordan (Connie) of Pelahatchie, Danny Jordan of Pelahatchie and Pam Andrews (Mike) of TN; siblings, James Barron (Pam) of Harrisville and Faye Bridges (Dub) of Harrisville; 7 grandchildren, Erin Hill (Bill), Trevor Jordan (Riley), Danielle Jordan, Drew Jordan, Ben Scarberry (Jeannie), Katheryn (Kat) Andrews and Kelli Andrews; 4 great grandchildren, Hurston Hill, Bryer Scarberry, Bella Scarberry and Emmalyn Scarberry; 7 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Jordan, Bill Hill, Drew Jordan, Ben Scarberry, Timmy Jordan and Charles Bridges.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
