Margaretha Maria Behr Shelton, 84, passed away peacefully at Trinity Elms on May 13, 2022. She was born on May 14, 1937, to Helmut and Amelia Behr in Germany. She worked and retired in manufacturing at Thomasville Furniture. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, baking, cooking German dishes for her family and spending time with her grand and great grand children as well as spending time with her Sunday school group/church and friends. She loved to play UNO and Old Maid with her grandchildren and Bingo with friends.  She would always win the majority of the time which put a big smile on her face.   Every Christmas Holiday she would spend a lot of time baking German cookies for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother.  Surviving are her children, Klaus Zuber, John Shelton, Jr (Kathy), and Michelle Shelton Greene (Kelly); grandchildren, Alexa (Chris), Erika(Tyler), Jessica (Clint), Sydney, Jenny, William, Steven and great grand children Holly, Isaiah, Henry, Ezra, Skyler and Lillian.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at New Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Byrne officiating.
