<p>Thomas Angel Rodriguez, 25, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1997, in Forsyth County, North Carolina.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was the 2014 state heavyweight champion, 6 in the nation, 3 time all American, and a wrestling hall of fame inductee.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>When not wrestling, he loved to work on cars, making music with famous producers, and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed uploading his music to YouTube in order to share his accomplishments with his family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Thomas never knew an enemy, as he was friends with everyone. He had the biggest heart and was always willing to go out of his way for others. Many thought of him to be a &ldquo;big teddy bear&rdquo;, always radiating his humble and kind attitude. Others thought of him as their big brother, who loved everyone no matter the life that they lived.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thomas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Rodriquez; and his grandfather, Charles Hughes.&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his mother, Angela Marie Hughes; father, Eleazar B. Rodriguez; sister, Idalia Gonzalez; 2 brothers, Brendon Rodriguez and Antonio Rodriguez; 2 nieces, Diamond and Elania; 3 nephews, Jordyn, Marc, and Imari, and one niece or nephew on the way.&nbsp;</p> <p>A celebration of Thomas&rsquo; life will be held Wednesday May 18, 2022 at Holy Spirit Family Worship Cathedral. 111 Back Forty Drive, Winston-Salem, NC, 27127.</p> <p>Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com&nbsp;</p>

Thomas Angel Rodriguez, 25, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1997, in Forsyth County, North Carolina. 

He was the 2014 state heavyweight champion, 6 in the nation, 3 time all American, and a wrestling hall of fame inductee.  

When not wrestling, he loved to work on cars, making music with famous producers, and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed uploading his music to YouTube in order to share his accomplishments with his family and friends.
