Evelyn Virginia Barbour

Evelyn Virginia Barbour went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Warrenton, Virginia surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born on January 10, 1942, to the late John and Martha Barbour, in Prince William County, Virginia. She graduated from Luther P. Jackson High School in Falls Church, Virginia. Evelyn worked for many years as a CNA traveling many miles throughout Fauquier, Loudoun, Culpeper, and Prince William counties. She also worked for Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, Virginia. In her earlier years, she worked for AMF Security, Foxcroft School and CSC in Reston, Virginia. If anyone asked Evelyn how many children she had, she would always say, “I have five babies”…it didn’t matter how old they were, they were still “HER babies”. She also had a special name for her grandbabies; she called them “Boodles”. One of her favorite past times was riding the Warrenton Circuit Rider and catching up on everybody’s day. Evelyn is survived by two daughters: Liza Ferguson (John) of Midland, VA and Mable Settle (Ronnie) of Culpeper, VA, and. three sons: Earl Barbour of Waxhaw, NC, Antione Barbour, Sr of Leesburg, VA and Almus Barbour of Culpeper, VA. 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. One sister: Rosetta Stewart of Culpeper, VA. Evelyn was predeceased by two sisters Sarah Brent and Louise Lansdowne and three brothers William, David, and Charles Barbour. Evelyn is also survived by one daughter-in-law Darine Barbour, Warrenton, VA, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place after the service at Midland Cemetery, 5525 Catlett Road, Midland, VA.
