Bruce Cyril Follett

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 12, 2022 of our beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Bruce Cyril Follett at the age of 55 years.

Predeceased by his father Cyril and cousin Dana Soper.

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts his devoted wife of 29 years Carolyn (nee Hooper); his adored children: Robyn (Kathleen Lane) and Matthew; loving mother Judy (Walter Stapleton); devoted sister Bonnie (Damey) Kyritsis and their son Christian (Taylor Pye); sisters-in-law: Rhonda (Joe) Mitchell and their daughter Carla (Matt) and Jo (Clay) Cullen and their child Ray; parents-in-law: Betty and Carl Hooper, the loving community of Churchill Falls, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Bruce will always be remembered for his great love of his family and community. We will remember his laughter, his smile, his jokes, the ability to make you feel welcome. Bruce always made sure that everyone was shown the respect and kindness they deserved. He was dedicated to his community with the Union, hockey and The Canadian Rangers. Bruce was loved by everyone. We will forever hold our memories in our hearts.

We would like to extend a thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Health Science Centre, and to the Eastern Health Extended Stay for all your compassion and care. We would also like to thank our family and friends for the food drops, phone calls, and visits. It will never be forgotten.

At Bruce’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm from Barrett’s Mt. Pearl Chapel. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
