Alan David Spalding Obituary

Alan David Spalding, 58, of Lynn Haven, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, May 13, 2022. Alan was born July 30, 1963, in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for eight years before being medically discharged. Alan loved going to drag races and bowling. He was a huge sports fan, specifically of the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Atlanta Braves. Alan enjoyed taking trips to Atmore, Alabama and going on family vacations. His greatest joy was being an “Opa” to his granddaughters, Khloe, and Myla. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Elizabeth Spalding; baby brother, David Jr.; mother-in-law, Pamela Thomas; and brother-in-law, Ron Thomas Left to treasure Alan’s memory is his spouse and best friend of 21 years, Stephanie Spalding; daughters, Beth Spalding, Brittney Woodard (Eric) and Kimberly Woodard (Anthony); son, RJ Ragan (Hannah Clement); grandchildren, Khloe and Myla; brother, Ronnie Spalding; sister, Devona Spalding; sister-in-law, Tammy Everett; father-in-law, Ronald Thomas; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends; and his dogs, Marley, Bella and Marshall. A Celebration of Alan’s life will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Anthony Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
