Connie Gail Franklin Obituary

Constance “Connie” Gail Wilson Franklin was born on February 20, 1943 to Charles and Vena Wilson of Topeka, Kansas. The fourth of four children, she was the apple of her father’s eye. She was adored by her siblings, as they were in adulthood when she was born.

Connie married John “Johnnie” W. Franklin of Uvalde Texas on July 16, 1961. Connie and John were blessed with three children, Mary Faith in 1962, John “Little John” W. Franklin, Jr. in 1964 and Raymond Charles in 1969 who was named for both grandfathers, Raymond Franklin and Charles Wilson.

Connie loved to sing and for many years she was the choir director at her church. She was also always available as a volunteer for her children’s extracurricular activities including Girl Scouts, twirling and the numerous athletics events her children participated in. Cherished by her grandchildren she was affectionately known as “Grams” and her devotion to them was never ending. Her gentle demeanor and loving ways will be missed but never forgotten.

She will be laid to rest with her husband. A Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday May 18, 2022 at Killeen Memorial Park and Cemetery.
