George M. Culver

Soldotna area resident George Martin Culver, 69, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna from stage IV lung cancer and CHF. No services are planned at this time. George was born on June 20, 1952, in Camden, N.J. He spent his childhood in Canton, MA where he graduated from high school and obtained his Associates Degree. He also served in the U.S. Army. He previously lived in N. Easton, MA, Stoughton, MA, and Gilford, N.H. before moving in 2014 to Soldotna. George worked for the City of Boston, retiring in 2008 and later for Home Depot. His family wrote, “Family was everything to George. Watching his boys grow into men meant the world to him. He was an avid fan of all New England sports teams but especially the New England Patriots. He may have moved to Alaska, but he was a New Englander through and through." George was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and June Culver and a brother, Paul Culver. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Culver; sons, Aidan, Liam and Declan Culver all Soldotna, Alaska; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Vincent Cammarata; nephew, Nicholas Cammarata; and nieces, Hayley Cammarata and Cydney Cammarat-Pusso, all of Fla.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie and Stuart Hogge; and nephews, Spencer and Joshua Hogge, all of Bothell, Wash. Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai, AK.
