Duarte Mota, 44, of Miami Florida (formerly Dartmouth,MA), passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 6, 2022. Beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle. Duarte was born Sept 13, 1977 in New Bedford, MA. Duarte was a Dartmouth High Graduate. Since 2009, Duarte resided in sunny Miami where he loved to ride his bike and visit the beaches. Duarte was a snowbird whom loved palm trees, designer clothes/jewelry, Cuban coffee, music and the diversity South Florida offered. Duarte was preceded in death, by his late father Duarte Manuel Mota. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Connie Andre of Freetown, MA. Brother, Jamie Mota (Kasey) of South Dartmouth, MA. Sister, Jill Dedrick of Stuart’s Draft, VA. Nephew, Jamie Mason Mota. Three nieces who he adored and often mailed little trinkets and souvenirs to, Piper and Mya Mota, along with Raven Crawford of Virginia. Duarte is also survived my many loving cousins , aunts, uncles, friends along the southcoast. He will be missed tremendously by all. “You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.
