Susan E. Downs

Susan E. Downs, 64, of Fairland, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. She was born on April 24, 1958 in Beech Grove to Walter Eugene & Joyce Elaine (Gladson) Middleton. She is a 1977 graduate of Franklin Central High School and she worked at Rolls Royce for 15 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, watching Jeopardy and was a big animal lover. She loved spending time with her family, the hood girls and friends but her greatest love was being a Grammy to her grandbabies. Suzie is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Don Downs of Fairland; daughters, Olivia (Keith) Fowler of Indianapolis and Sandy (Josh Jones) Roth of Indianapolis; grandbabies, Piper Edwards, Leila Fowler, Zander Fowler, Jace Fowler, Skylyr Jones and Victoria Fowler; siblings, Becky (Larry) Umbreit, Tim Middleton and Melissa (Scott) Reynolds; several nieces and nephews and great aunt, Sandi Gladson. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN with the  Celebration of Life at 6:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home.
