Ricky Allen Biggs

Ricky Allen Biggs, 62, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away on May 11, 2022, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Chief Rick, of the Appalachian Nation, was born in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Robert Gail Biggs and Pauline Canafax Biggs. He was a retired CPA and realtor, who graduated from the University of Kentucky in accounting and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His proudest accolade was being Ashland's 29th honored Father of the Year in 2007. He was the father of five daughters, and therefore afraid of nothing. Rick loved nothing more than fireworks, road trips with his girls, and playing with his six grandchildren, as well as his many nieces and nephews who called him "good-lookin' Uncle Rick." He is survived by his mother, his siblings Lola Mayne (Rick) of Columbus, Ohio, Randy Biggs (Athena) of Hardeeville, South Carolina, Ronnie Biggs (Dana) of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Lisa Crum (Jeff) of Fort Worth, Texas; his daughters Sarah Weekley (Chris) of Freeport, Florida, Lauren Horner (Aaron) of Louisville, Kentucky, Shauna and Kate Biggs and Kelsey Burge (Tony) of Ashland, Kentucky; his six grandchildren Jaymeson, Liam, Cadence, Paul, William, and Danielle, and many beloved nieces and nephews. The public may visit at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway, US-60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, 41164 at 10:00 AM on May 16, 2022, and service will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Keith Menshouse officiating. Burial will follow at Garvin Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
