FELTON- Joseph Charles Zuray, 83, of Chanceford Township, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Laucks) Zuray. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2022. A graveside service was held privately at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting with the arrangements. Mr. Zuray was born in Heilwood, PA on May 18, 1938, the son of the late Joseph J. and Katherine (Mariskanish) Zuray. He retired in 2000 from York International in Pittsburgh, where he had worked for over 35 years. As District Operations Manager, he achieved second in the nation. In Joseph’s youth, he was an altar boy. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York. He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Windsor with his wife. His grandchildren were the light of his world. He was devoted to them. Joe was a sport and football enthusiast and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Zuray leaves a daughter, Melissa Zuray Sullivan and her husband Mark of Pennington, NJ; two grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Sullivan; three sisters, Kathleen Guise and her husband Donald, Joan Faber, and Christina Poe; and a nephew.
