<p>Irene Marie Laforge, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Salem, NH passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 10, 2022 at the age of 91. Irene was born in June 1930 in SainteBasile, New Brunswick Canada. Irene and her loving husband, Wilfred &ldquo;Joe&rdquo; Laforge relocated their growing family in 1957 from Canada to Lawrence, MA and became proud American Citizens.</p> <p>Irene was the embodiment of family love and had a remarkable quality to make everyone feel as though he or she was her favorite. She excelled in her talents of sewing, knitting, crocheting, masterful cooking and gardening. Irene retired from Raytheon after many years of service. Her former years of employment at Malden Mills, cultivated the beginning of her treasured Meme Blankets, fleece quilts sewn with love and given freely to many.</p> <p>Irene was predeceased in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 5 sisters, her 5 daughters, Denise, Linda, Joselyne, Elaine and Tina. Her legacy lives on with her 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10:00am on Monday May 16, 2022 at St. Patrick Church, 12 Main St., Pelham, NH. Her family welcomes condolences at 9:30 am preceding the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow in Sacred heart Cemetery, Andover. In lieu of flowers, donations accepted in Irene&rsquo;s name to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
