Pauline grew up in Crosswoods district near Southey with parents, Wallace and Edith Anderson, and older brothers, Willard, Bob and Don. Pauline attended Crosswoods School, riding her horse, Nancy, to and from school in summer and travelling by horse and sleigh in winter. After WW2, in 1947, Pauline married Gilbert Hillier and they began a loving partnership which lasted over 71 years with 50 of those years on the farm. Pauline embraced many roles: farmer, cook, baker, jam and jelly maker, fruit and vegetable preserver, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Good food was a priority in our home, taste being important, but nutrition was even more important. Pauline was very social, with a love for dancing, travel, fashion and glamour. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Good Shepherd Villa for the excellent care provided to both our parents since 2011 and for providing a warm, loving atmosphere in their Home.

Private Graveside gathering will be held at a later date. In memory of Pauline, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan, 301 – 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
