<p>Kathleen Marie Gallup was born to Robert and Evelyn (Steinke) on January 5, 1950 in Crystal Lake, IL. She entered heaven in the early hours of May 10, 2022 at the age of 72.</p> <p>&nbsp;For most of her life she was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Joliet where she attended elementary school. She was a graduate of Joliet East High School and Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL. Kathleen enjoyed teaching at a Lutheran elementary school in Chattanooga, Tennessee and a Lutheran High School in Orlando, Florida and Illinois Lutheran high schools located in Lansing, Rockford and Naperville.</p> <p>Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sister, Christine (Fred) Wren and her brother, Roger (Elizabeth) Gallup. She was a loving aunt to Jennifer (Justin) Whitmore , Rachel Wren, Fredrick (Marisa) Wren , Melissa (John) Boehme , Robert (Jenna) Gallup, Lydia (Logan) Landes , Hannah Gallup, and Andrew Gallup.&nbsp; She was also a loving great-aunt to Rebekah, Isabella, Kathryn, Abigail, Micah, Emily, Liliana, Evelyn, Jacob, Isaac, and Josiah Whitmore,&nbsp; also Kaia, Ella, and Fredrick Wren , Olivia and Allison Boehme, Samuel and Zoey Landes, and step great- aunt to Paityn Gies.</p> <p>A memorial service will be held May 28 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N. Broadway, Joliet, IL at 11:00.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials donations could be made to Concordia University Chicago or St. Peter Lutheran Church in Joliet.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Miss.Gallup was the only math teacher I ever liked. Even when she would get frustrated with me when I just couldn’t get it. She would sit on her stool at the blackboard and walk me through it. May she Rest In Peace ❤️
