BARRE/WORCESTER- Eva Lyons Meredith,29, was welcomed into the waiting arms of her loving parents Patricia R. Lyons and Stephen J. Meredith on August 11, 1992 forever known from that day forward as adoption day. The day we became a family. Eva was a beautiful, unique, sensitive, intelligent, and loving person whose life was drastically ended on May 6, 2022 as a result of a devastating vehicle accident.

Her passing has deeply affected her large and extended family that is consumed with sadness and grief at the loss of such a special person. Eva in death leaves her devoted parents, Patty and Steve of Barre, MA, maternal grandmother (MeMaw), Rosemary K. Lyons of Mechanicsburg, PA, her sisters Bronwyn M. Umphrey and Caitlin T. Meredith of Ellsworth and Southwest Harbor, ME and their spouses Nicholas Umphrey and David Campbell and her nephew Collin Umphrey. Eva also leaves her aunts Linda Cover and her husband Arthur Cover of Mechanicsburg, PA, Lynn DeMartyn of Lewisbury, PA, Kathleen Harney and John Harney of Mansfield, MA, Laura Rhodes and Jeffrey Rhodes of Middletown, PA, and Becky E. Lyons of Lewisbury, PA. Eva leaves her uncle Ted Lyons and wife Cyndi Lyons of Mechanicsburg, PA. Eva was blessed with many cousins that she adored namely Andrea Cover, Jennifer Miller, Joshua and Jason Lyons, Dawn Fleming, and Patrick Harney. Eva and Patrick grew up to be specially connected, each drawing the best qualities from each other and developing a solid and loving bond showing a devotion that would have lasted their lifetimes if Eva’s had not been cut so drastically short. Eva also loved her younger second cousins, Cameron Miller, Kylee Miller, Addison Miller, Carolyn Rose Lyons, Brooks Lyons, Alec Lyons, Reece Fleming ,Liam Fleming and Colton Worley,. Eva was fortunate to have so many people in her life that loved and cared for and about her. Eva was predeceased in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph L. Lyons Jr., paternal grandmother, Lillian Fries, cousin Robert Nipple, and uncle Donald DeMartyn.

Eva graduated from the North Central Charter Essential School in May 2010. She attended the Art Institute of New England. Eva found that her career passion was focused on the food and beverage industry. She felt proud of her work at Blossom Bar in Brookline where she was taught and mastered the skill of creating and making coctails that were works of fine art. Eva was also pursuing additional work in marketing for specialty brand liquors. Eva was dedicated to her work and pursuing new skills related to the industry.

Eva was artistically inclined. She loved art, design, and making things. She taught herself how to sew and knit and loved to put things together from complicated instructions. She could master the most complex lego designs enjoying the challenge and reflecting upon the finished product.

Eva also had a passion for animals and loved the ones that she perceived as underdogs. She had a family of four that were all adopted. She will be greatly missed by Wally, Olive, Lola, and Iggy who will now all have a home together in Barre.

Eva's parents thank their loving family and many friends and Eva's friends that have provided such kindness and support.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial Mass for Eva on Thursday, May 19,2022 at 11:00AM in St. Thomas A Becket Church Vernon Ave S.Barre.
