Glenda Lee Lackland

Glenda Lee Lackland, age 68, of Franklin Grove, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Glenda was born July 16, 1953 in Gary, IN, the daughter of Jesse and Naomi (Butler) Lewallen. She married G. Allan Lackland on August 6, 1973.

Glenda was a long-time member of the Franklin Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and family. Glenda was a proud grandmother to her 10 grandchildren who frequently had sleepovers, where they played board games, baked treats, made crafts, and played video games together.

She is survived by her husband of Franklin Grove; four children, Galena (Chris) Bennett of Franklin Grove, Glynis (Jason) Dean of Polo, Graham Lackland of Ladd, and Grayce (Jason) Niggley of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Daltry, Graylyn, Graycyn, Denesy, Gage, Nathaniel, Devany, Benjamin, Darbey and Denaly; two sisters, Gay (Greg) Smith and Ginger Trejo; and two brothers, Glen Lewallen and Gary (Barb) Lewallen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Franklin Grove United Methodist Church with the funeral following at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jan Shaulis officiating. Burial will conclude the services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
