Patricia M. (Sullivan) Gwozdz Lakeville, Massachusetts Obituary

Patricia M. (Sullivan) Gwozdz

Patricia S. Gwozdz of Attleboro, MA passed away on May 10, 2022 after a period of declining health. Patricia was born on August 23, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Catherine Sullivan. She grew up in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn and graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy in 1958. Patricia was endlessly energetic and outgoing. She combined her love of meeting new people with her green thumb, as well as her gifts for aesthetics and design, as the owner and operator of flower shops in Mansfield and Norton, MA. Her creativity led to countless home improvement projects over the years, but her true calling was her lifelong devotion to family. She is survived by her husband of nearly sixty years, Stephen Gwozdz. Their love for each other was unshakable and plain for all to see as they journeyed together through life’s rewards and challenges. Patricia leaves behind a son, Bob Sullivan of New Hampshire, and a daughter, Maryanne Kelley of Attleboro. Among her greatest joys were the relationships she had with her grandsons, Jack and Ben Kelley. She is also survived by Jack’s significant other, Courtney Beale, and a brother, the Reverend Brother Donald Sullivan, OSF, along with a large extended family that includes Gwozdzes, Sullivans, Lanes and Regans, among others. Her parents and brother, Charlie Sullivan, all died earlier. There will be no formal services but a celebration of Patricia’s life will be announced.
