Jennifer Lynn Miguel

Jennifer Lynn Miguel, 56, life-long resident of Pequannock Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022 after a long battle with health issues. Jennifer graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 1983 and Passaic Valley Vo-Tech with a LP Nursing Degree in 1990.

Jennifer worked at Chilton, Bayada Nurses and various nursing homes throughout her career. She enjoyed working with elder patients and their families and making a difference in their lives. Her favorite job, however, was being a mom to her children. She also loved animals and was involved in animal rescue and fostering.

Jennifer is survived by her children, Evan Meyer of Johns Creek, GA, Elizabeth Handibode and Julianna Handibode of Seldon, NY; her father, Donald Miguel and the late Matilda Miguel of Pequannock, NJ; her brother, Donald Miguel Jr. of East Stroudsburg, PA; her sisters, Janet Jones and Diane Metzler and her husband Donald of Pompton Plains, NJ; and her nephews, Steven Jones, Reese Metzler and Ryan Metzler of Pompton Plains, NJ.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jennifer's life at the viewing from 5:00 to 7:30 pm Friday, May 13 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A private graveside burial will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jennifer's name may be made to any animal rescue group.
